Board Member?
How Can You Become a
ASP has always had a large executive board - we believe that if a student wants to set themselves apart and contribute to the club and their future, they should have that chance. Board members almost always leave with positions at their dream firms because taking a position demonstrates drive and responsibility. Most of the time, board members have left with an internship or job opportunity after the amount of exposure their position provided them with.
Officers are elected each semester - however, the President's role is a year and any applicants for that role should be prepared to keep their position for the entire year. All candidates for elective office must be a currently enrolled student at UNF as well as a member of ASP at the time of submission. Recruiting new board members begins toward the end of each semester.

The Marketing Director updates the Alpha Sigma Pi display case one-week in advance of any upcoming event and the general information (non-dated) on a bimonthly basis. Membership Director
The Membership Director maintains the database of all members and keeps it current. The database must track membership expiration dates and should include information about professionals’ attendance at semi-annual socials and the annual banquet. At the beginning of each semester, the Membership Director prints out the database to be reviewed by the faculty adviser for updating. The Membership Director notifies expired members of their status and bills for unpaid dues. The Membership Director provides membership applications at all events. The Membership Director reports status of unpaid dues and expiring memberships to Vice President in weekly reports.
Special Events Director
The Special Events Director will coordinate the semi-annual socials and the annual banquet. The Special Events Director will be the on-site contact for the banquet and work closely with the Social Director to help out with all general meetings, as well as be available to delegate banquet duties. The Special Events Director will be in charge of getting the reserved space approved by the President and Treasurer. The Special Events Director will also be in charge of the program for the banquet, gifts for the recipients, as well as working with the Vice President to coordinate Teacher of the Year voting.
Professional Relations Director
The Professional Relations Director coordinates with all professionals. This includes, but is not limited to, communicating with the professionals about general meeting dates, times and locations, as well as announcing the socials and banquet. When potential general meeting candidates are identified, the Professional Relations Director gives names and numbers to the Vice President. For all general meeting and socials, the Professional Relations Director makes room reservations and/or site reservations within a timely fashion of receiving notification of the event. For general meetings, the Professional Relations Director contacts the room reservation individual (typically a semester to a year in advance) to reserve the proper amount of space. The Professional Relations Director sends a weekly report to the Vice President.
Webmaster
The Webmaster updates the Alpha Sigma Pi website and Facebook regularly with information about all semester events, board member information, the newsletter (which the Secretary will provide), as well as any additional information or links that would be beneficial to our members. The Webmaster makes any changes at least once a week. The Webmaster sends a weekly report to the Vice President.
Executive Committee
This committee is formed by the Alpha Sigma Pi Board and is made up of four to six members in order to provide support to various other board positions. This is not a board position and, thus, is far less time consuming than a board position. The main duties of the executive committee are to be on-call for any extra assistance needed for Alpha Sigma Pi activities.
